Care for Kids Campdraft committee needs your help

September 6, 2015

After four years and $27,000 raised, the Bingara Care for Kids Junior Charity Campdraft and Sporting weekend is on the verge of cancellation for next year due to lack of committee interest.

The fundraising event which was originally set up and organised by Sonia Coombes in 2012 has had a very successful four years however an AGM which is occurring tomorrow Tuesday, 8th September will determine whether the event is set to go ahead in 2016.

“We are in desperate need of new committee members,” Sonia told the Advocate last week.

“If we don’t get enough people to come and join the committee we won’t be able to go ahead next year.”

“You don’t need to be involved with horses to join this committee, the event is all in the name of a great cause which supports local children.”

The Bingara Care for Kids Charity organisation was set up to assist families with children 17 years and under who may have a medical condition or being in an accident and may need assistance to cover expenses that may not be covered under medicare and private insurance, for example travel expenses to hospitals/ doctors outside of Bingara.

“The most important thing to remember about the Care for Kids Charity is that it is a local charity for local children.”

If you are interested in joining the committee go along to the meeting next tomorrow night commencing at 6.30pm at the Imperial Hotel.
