The Gwydir Wildflowers Photography Competition, which closed on Friday 9 November, has been described by Gwydir Shire Council’s OCD Director, Mrs Leeah Daley as, ‘a huge success’.
Mrs Daley said, ‘the standard of entries received is incredibly high and we cannot wait to give everyone the opportunity to view them. An exhibition of the most outstanding entries will be on display at the Warialda Visitor Information Centre this Saturday to coincide with the Honey Festival.’It will run until the 25th of November.
Mrs Daley thanked all of the talented people who took the time to enter the competition. ‘These images will be used to promote our wonderful Gwydir back yard and extremely beautiful wildflowers’.
The planned gala opening night has unfortunately been cancelled due to Honey Festival commitments. All winners will be notified by phone or email as soon as judging is finalised. Full details of the winners and their entries will be featured soon.
