Planning is well underway for the Bingara Rugby League Football Club’s September Reunion and Legend’s night. In addition to the invitations to past players, the Club has extended invitations to a number of people that have contributed long hours of dedication.
These people include the Club’s Life Members, those from the past Ladies Auxiliaries, past canteen managers and past committee people. In regard to the naming of Bingara’s Legends since the 1940’s, the independent selectors had the almost impossible job of reducing a ‘short list’ of about 50 players to the best seventeen. These players will be named at the Reunion and presented with a medallion.
The Reunion will be held on Friday19th September and the following night is the 2008 Bingara Bullet’s presentation night. This will also be a prestigious affair with the Club’s annual awards presented to a most deserving group of players.
Tickets are available at the Newsagency and must be purchased prior to the nights.
On Sunday 21st September the Sportsman Hotel is the venue to farewell all visitors with a BBQ Brunch. During the day, people are invited to bring in videos and DVDS of past games to help live past glories.
