Home Brew Competition

The Brew Shed Inverell proudly sponsors the 2015 Bingara Show home brewing competition.  The competition is open to all levels of home brewers.

This competition is a useful way to learn how to improve your future brews as entrants will be provided with an informative and confidential feedback score sheet.

The winners of each beer style will receive a certificate and ribbon, plus a $20 gift voucher compliments of The Brew Shed Inverell Overall Grand champion will receive a Bingara Show Society sash and a $20 gift voucher to The Brew Shed Inverell.

1. Entries are restricted to one bottle per person per style.

2. Entries MUST BE RECEIVED by no later than 4pm Thursday 19 March to allow for settling.

3. Entry fee of $1 per bottle is payable at time of drop off. Drop off point is Bingara Show Secretary’s office open Thursday 19 March between 10am and 4pm. Alternatively you may contact the Secretary on 0409 770 994 to make other arrangements. Bottles without record of payment attached will be unaccepted for judging.

4. Entries submitted must be at room temperature.

5. All care will be taken but no responsibility accepted.

6. Only competition entry forms provided by Bingara Show Society are to be used.

7. Upon entry the contents becomes the property of the Bingara Show Best Home Brew Competition, and after judging, the contents of the bottle will be discharged to waste.

8. No person shall judge any style wherein a member of his or her household has entered beer.

9. (Empty) bottles and prizes will be ready for collection from the Bingara Show pavilion on from 12 noon Sunday at the conclusion of the show, or one week after at The Brew Shed 2/145 Otho, St Inverell.

10. Entries will be judged on presentation as well as content. The airspace should measure 4.5 to 6.5cm from the top of the bottle.

11. Only 500ml or larger, brown glass or brown PET bottles in a clean and flawless condition are to be used.

12. Judging will commence Friday 20 March until complete.

13. The decision of the Chief Steward is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
