Introducing www.bingara.com.au

February 8, 2007

The Bingara and District Web-site, www.bingara.com.au, will be officially launched at a Dinner to be held in Bingara’s Roxy Theatre on Friday May 25.

The web-site is a project of Bingara and District VISION 20/20. Careful planning and development has resulted an exciting format for the Bingara Web-Site that will showcase the features, activities and plans for Bingara and District.

The development project has been generously supported by Gwydir Shire Council, and Country Connect from Tamworth has supervised the web-site development. The Bingara web-site Manager is Georgina Sinclair.

“Our aim is to produce the best web-site in rural Australia.” Said V20/20 President Garry McDouall. “We have sought to make it very accessible, user friendly and thorough. It can be a daily news site for our local folk as well as a wonderful introduction to Bingara for the potential visitor and investor.”

The Dinner will provide an opportunity to showcase the Bingara Web-Site using the big screen at the Roxy, and encourage local and regional businesses and community organizations to participate in the next stage of development.

“The objective is to have the Bingara web-site self funding within twelve months.” Said Garry McDouall. “We have determined a scale of fees for different packages and hope that all our community organizations and many of our businesses will take the opportunity to participate.”

“With more and more homes having access to a computer, we see a time, not too far into the future, when our community members will “log on” to the Bingara Web-Site every day.” said Vision 20/20 Publicity Officer, Rick Hutton. “The web-site will be like an additional window from the home, to the outside world. It is therefore most important that the web-site is always up-to-date, accurate and topical.” He added.

Information on how Bingara community organisations and businesses can link to the Bingara Web-site will be provided by web-site Manager, Georgina Sinclair and Country Connect’s, Tim Blakely, on the night.

Tickets for the Bingara Web-Site Launch Dinner are $25. A tasting of the new Foster’s range of beers and wines and the two course meal are included in the ticket price. Tickets are available from Fay’s of Bingara, and numbers, for catering, are required by Thursday, May 24.
