August 22, 2011

Dubbo Dirt Bike Club based in Western NSW set the stage for its Roar Open event, with riders from all over Australia tackling the track on the Saturday and Sunday.

The track, which features some fast flowing turns with plenty of whoops and tabletops, was prepped to perfection by the club and defnitely lead to a great day of racing.

Local boys Blake Fletcher and Dean Turner were amongst the hundred of riders there for the Dubbo Roar Open event which had a thousand dollars up for grabs. While the boys were unable to score a place in the top prize winners for the open event they still placed in their other events.

Blake won the B Grade Open on his Suzuki 450 as well as the B Grade Lites event on his Honda 250. Dean Turner also had a successful day, placing third in the C Grade open on his Honda 450 as well as winning the holeshot award for this event. Both boys took home prize money.
