September 18, 2008

The St. John’s Anglican congregation were joined by representatives of other Bingara Churches at the Commissioning Service for the Rev. Brian Darbyshire to the Parish of Bingara on Monday night.

Brian and Jenny Darbyshire arrived in Australia from the Isle of Man last week.

The service was conducted by The right Rev. Dr. Peter Brain, Bishop of Armidale, with representatives from surrounding parishes in attendance.

The Rev. Professor Gerald Bray, whom Brian Darbyshire described as tutor, mentor and friend, travelled to England to attend the service, and delivered the address.
