Nominations open for the Gwydir Community Business Awards 2013

July 11, 2013

Have you a favourite Bingara business large or small? Is there a senior or a junior employee who you think does that little bit extra for you?

Is there an enterprise, outside of the town business district, that you think is innovative and progressive? Then you should pick up a form and reward their efforts by nominating them for the 2013 Gwydir Community Business Awards.

What makes a good business? There are many things that customers and clients look for. When choosing a business or employee to nominate, you might ask yourself these questions; a) Do they value me as a customer? b) Do they make me feel welcome? c) Do they go beyond “good service”? d) Am I happy to recommend them to my friends and family?

The Gwydir Community Business Awards seek to encourage customers to confidently and proudly answer YES, to these questions.

Only when, as customers, we acknowledge and encourage better service from our businesses, can we say that we did our bit to lift standards and performances.

Talk to your friends and family and see just how many agree with your selections. Think of a few words to describe why your nominated businesses and employees are worthy of winning an award.

Then, most importantly, complete the entry form, and leave it for the judges to consider. In Bingara, Gwydir Community Business Awards 2013 entry forms are available at Bingara Newsagency and the Bingara Office of Gwydir Shire Council.

The form was also printed on Page 10 of July 10 issue of the Advocate, and can be either photo copied or cut out and used to nominate worthy local people.

Don’t delay. Entries close at “close of trading” on Friday, July 26. This year’s prestigious Awards Dinner will be held in Warialda at the Memorial Hall on Friday August 23.

The Gwydir Community Business Awards 2013 are proudly supported by Gwydir Shire Council, Warialda Chamber of Commerce and Bingara and District VISION 20/20.
