Search on for Bingara’s Citizen of the Year

Bingara is searching for the next recipients of the NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards to be announced on Australia Day 2013.

Do you know someone who has done countless volunteer hours for a service organisation, a local sporting or community group or an educational facility? Do you know someone who has an outstanding achievement in their work or studies?

Gwydir Shire Council and the Australia Day Council of NSW invites you to nominate this individual for the 2013 NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards.

The Awards will be presented at an official ceremony at the Bingara Museum on Australia Day, 26 January 2013.

“The NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards recognise the many individuals who make a positive impact on their local community each year. The contributions and achievements of these individuals illustrate our Australian culture and make us proud to be part of this wonderful country”, said Angelos Frangopoulos, Chairman of the Australia Day Council of NSW.”
