The self development course for women called Shaping Our Futures Together (SOFT), run by the Rural Women’s Network, is being held in Bingara in June.
The course is aimed at women who wish to take control of the direction their lives are taking. Too often, women become caught up in the mundane, day to day issues of looking after home and family, without taking time to think about what they want to achieve with the rest of their lives.
The SOFT course has been run in other towns, including Inverell and Narrabri, with great feedback. Someone who attended the course in Narrabri, said that her recollection of the course was that “there was a lot of laughing” along with the messages of taking control and setting goals.
