Sixteen keen swimmers from the Bingara Swimming Club proved just what a determined team they are last Sunday. Along with their parents, family and coach Elite Ayra, they travelled to Glen Innes to compete in the Annual Redfins Short Course Development Meet.
All children put in a huge effort with Bingara taking out a place in nearly all of the 56 events they were entered in. New pool records were obtained by the following Bingara children. Addison Dixon (7 years girl 25m Breaststroke), Sophie Dennis (9 years girl 25m Freestyle), Brock Galvin (9 years boy 25m Freestyle, 25m Butterfly, 25m Backstroke, 25m Breaststroke), Thomas Young (11 years boy 200m Individual Medley), Sam Perrin (12 years boy 50m Freestyle).
Congratulations to all the children who took part. It was a fun day and a great way for the children to show their family and friends the great things their coach Elita Ayre has been teaching them. Don’t forget it’s not too late to sign up for swimming club.
