The show will go on…

April 21, 2021

May 2021 will see country shows return to both Warialda and Bingara after restrictions caused events to be halted last year. After several difficult years due to drought and the cancellation of last year’s shows, plans are well under way for the return of Warialda and Bingara Show’s with excited committees busy preparing and organizing.

A fantastic and full line-up of events and entertainment is planned for the 6th, 7th and 8th May with member for Parkes, the Honourable Mark Coulton to be in attendance to open the Warialda Show.

Friday will see sporting events in the ring, with final preparations underway for a camp draft to go ahead.

Normal ring events will get started on Saturday and pavilion exhibits returning as usual. With the help of some fantastic grants there is set to be fabulous entertainment headlined by Golden Guitar winner and 2019 CMA’s Global Artist winner Travis Collins.

The line-up continues with demonstrations Aussie FMX motorcycles and Dennis Massoud’s sand sculpting team, who will also be offering workshops. On top of all that there will be a Reptile Kingdom, Goldie the Clown, Demolition Derby, Rock Wall, yard-dog trials and for those who are game, a mechanical bull will be available with no charge.

Finally, fireworks will go off on Saturday night.

“We are encouraging people to consider membership to make things easier at the gate,” said Dave. Please email warialdapasecretary@gmail.com for further information.

Incoming Bingara Show Society President, Damien Crump says he doesn’t see there will be any difficulty in hosting this year’s event scheduled for 22nd and 23rd May.

“At this stage the show will go ahead as usual, providing COVID conditions allow. We are very excited considering the Show was called off last year and with the dry years before that,” said Mr Crump.

“All the main events will go ahead including cattle, poultry, sheep dog trial and Stockman’s Challenge. A campdraft will run separately with a date to be confirmed.”

As with all community events the Show’s success requires a lot of hands to make it great.

“We welcome all people that would like to volunteer – a small contribution can go a long way,” he said. If you would like to assist, please contact Damien Crump on 0400 757 888.
