The Bingara Central School’s annual Thomson cup sports carnival will be held this Friday. The day begins with the now traditional and, we believe, unique parade which leaves the school at 8.45am, proceeds along Finch street, up Maitland Street to Cunningham Street, then along Cunningham Street to Gwydir oval where the students take part in a range of athletic events.
Bingara Central School is made up of three sporting ‘houses’: Bradman, in yellow shirts, Fraser, red, and Laver, the green team.
The students put a great effort into the theme of their particular house, and judges are appointed to award a prize for marching and theme.
