For only the second time since its inception, there will be no New Year rodeo at Upper Horton this year. The rodeo which was to be held on Monday, December 31, has been postponed due to a lack of entries, largely due to the on-going tough drought conditions.
The only other time the New Year campdraft and rodeo was called off was during the equine influenza outbreak a few years ago.
The campdraft was called off in November, also a victim of the drought.
