The Inverell Polocrosse Club is encouraging spectators and vendors to attend the first annual polocrosse horse sale and elite men’s competition from 9 – 11 July 2021.
President of the Inverell Polocrosse Club, Alex Wrobel, said the Swan Cup is a new and unique event in the heart of the NSW North West combining the sale of premier Australian Stock Horses and elite polocrosse competition. “We’re excited to host the inaugural Swan Cup showcasing our amazing sport of polocrosse, the king of the one-horse sport,” said Alex.
“The Swan Cup is set to be an exciting weekend of top-level polocrosse competition, featuring a star- studded line up, with all four of the men from the most recent 2019 Polocrosse World Cup Australian team playing at the event. “It will be a great family day out with free entry, canteen and bar facilities available, so we really encourage people to come along and enjoy the action.”
Also on offer at the Swan Cup is the sale of over 40 registered Australian Stock Horses, who are eligible for future incentives at the Swan Cup. “We have teamed up with Nutrien Equine – Performance, the premiere agents for selling performance horses in the country and The Australian Stock Horse Society, to offer quality registered Australian Stock Horses, the leading breed for playing polocrosse,” Alex said.
The 2021 Swan Cup will be held at the Inverell Polocrosse Club Grounds, 160 Eddy Park Lane, Rob Roy, 10 kilometres west of Inverell, from Friday 9 July to Sunday 11 July.
