Interesting show planned for Bingara

May 17, 2018

Over twenty members of Bingara Show Society Committee met on Thursday night to discuss final plans for the 2018 show on May 26 and 27.

The Rodeo, always a popular event, will commence about 6.30 pm on Saturday.

The campdraft unfortunately has been cancelled due to the dry weather and lack of cattle.

After many years of absence, poultry is making a return to the Bingara Show. Good outside interest is being shown in this section. Keeping poultry has gained in popularity in recent years, so interest extends beyond confirmed poultry fanciers.

There will be award winning displays on the grounds including the popular mechanical bull ride.

The pavilion will be having a big quilt exhibit this year.

“For the show to be a success we need community support,” a committee member said.
